Vicki Barbolak @ The Wonders Theatre
Vicki Barbolak is one of America's top comedians, known for her hilarious performances and her appearance as a fan favorite and top 10 finalist on Season 13 of *America's Got Talent* (AGT). On the show, Howie Mandel praised her, saying, "I think you just came up with your own sitcom, you're wonderful, I love you," while Simon Cowell called her "the best comedian we've had on this show." Vicki also appeared on the *AGT Champions* in 2019.
Her comedy journey began at age 38 when she took a stand-up comedy class, which changed her life. She soon realized that making people laugh brought her immense joy. After honing her craft at open mic nights, Vicki was mentored by Mitzi Shore, owner of The Comedy Store, a renowned institution that helped her grow as a comedian. E! Entertainment even predicted that Vicki would be the next big star from The Comedy Store in their *True Hollywood Story* on Mitzi Shore.
Drawing inspiration from her life working in her family’s carpet business, her experiences with ex-husbands, and raising two children while living in a trailer park near San Diego, Vicki has developed a unique comic persona that has earned her much praise. Her fresh, relatable material continues to win over audiences.
In 2007, she won Nickelodeon’s *America’s Funniest Mom* show, hosted by Roseanne Barr, who was so impressed that she hired Vicki as a writer and invited her to open for her in Las Vegas. Vicki was also selected for the *Jay Leno Laugh Squad* in 2010, and she was featured in *Family Circle* magazine as an expert in joke-telling. Additionally, her story about performing stand-up at a funeral was featured in the best-selling book *I Killed, Road Stories from America’s Top Comics*.
Throughout her career, Vicki has received many accolades, including winning Jenny Jones' nationwide search for "Jenny’s Comedy Divas," the "California’s Funniest Female" contest, and the Russian River Gay Comedy Festival. Since her success on AGT, Vicki has toured internationally, selling out shows around the world.
